A Poignant Poem

I saw this poem on a bench at St. Simon's Island in Georgia. I want to
say something profound about poetry, writing, or memory but I think
it's better to keep my mouth closed and let you come to your own
conclusions.

    1. Carol, I did a search and found out it was reported that she took her life. Terribly sad. I hope the poem shows a happier time in her life and brings back great memories for her family.

  3. Oh, doing the math on those dates is really troubling - nineteen years old?

The poem is quite simple and beautiful - there's a lot of love behind it,and a lot of heartache. You're right, Jeff - sometimes more words don't help.
